PATRONS’ WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Back · Home · Next

I would like to publicly thank some of the many patrons who have offered me their ongoing support and words of encouragement over the years. I receive countless emails offering prayers and support for my apostolate. This is a blessing. I can only provide a sample of these below.

John Salza

John, I just wanted to Thank You for taking the time to put your web-site together.  It has been very beneficial to me and I wanted to express my gratitude for all of your hard work.

Sincerely,

John W. Canning

Montgomery, Alabama

John,

My 5 year old son was baptized into the Catholic Church Saturday night, and I made a profession of faith, was confirmed and received my First Communion.

I just wanted to that you for the substantial part that your books and writings played in this choice.  Thank you!

Blessings, and peace be with you!

Christiane

Hi, Mr. J.Salza I would like to thank you for your wonderful work that you have put at scripturecatholic.com. It is of the highest work , in quality it's class, that I have ever read. I can go on and on praising your work . I have lots of work to do now in catching up reading.

Sinceramente; Jorge Garcia

I found your site on the web and just wanted to let you know that it is awesome. Being a catholic other christens, incorrectly, accuse my faith of being non scriptural. It’s great to see you outline that the church, and not scripture, is the pinnacle of truth. Thanks.

Sal Marchese

Dear Mr. Salza,

I was checking the "Remnant" website, which had a link to your interview on "Relevant Radio" concerning the SSPX.

May I say thank you for the positive way you helped others to understand the Society. I have attended the Society's Masses before, this led to my falling in love with the traditional Mass, something as a convert I didn't know existed. I now attend a local diocesan Latin Mass. Who knows, I may have converted 22 years ago had the Latin Mass been around.

I am sorry to say I didn't know of you before today. But as a traditionalist Catholic, one avoids the mainstream Catholic media because they are generally hostile to us. Even our local diocesan paper is anti anything traditional. I believe you are somebody who can help change that, thank you.

I noticed several articles dealing with tradition on your website that I look forward to reading.

Again, thank you for helping to dispel the myth!

Laurence Wright

John -

Just a quick note to let you know that I think your apologetics work is great. I read your book on Masonry - well done and informative! Also - nice job on the website and your radio time. Keep it up!

God's Blessings – Dave Lipsiea

Hello John,

A priest-friend of mine brought to my attention your website, last week, when I was on vacation. I wanted to write and say that I very much enjoy your website and are rather clear and concise in your explanations of the Faith. I especially enjoyed your answers regarding "traditional issues". I forwarded your web address to some of my parishoners and will include it in our Sunday bulletin next week. I hope you are well. God bless you.

Sincerely,

Fr. Hearty, FSSP

Dear Mr. Salza,

I have been studying Catholic Apologetics for about 2 years. I have read a LOT of books by various authors: Dave Armstrong, Scott Hahn, Karl Keating, Patrick Madrid: you know all the names I'm sure. My wife and I have taught an Apologetics class at our church the last 2 summers.

I wanted to write and tell you that you book, The Biblical Basis for the Catholic Faith, is the best of all the books I've read. It has given me more ammunition to use in the battle to defend our faith than any other. I've also implored everyone who came to our class to purchase it!

I have an older brother who is a devout Southern Baptist. We never discussed religious issues for more than 20+ years, until I started learning Apologetics and especially after reading your book. We get together every 2 weeks for lunch and usually stay after and talk over the various issues: Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, and the rest of the laundry list of things he mistakenly believes about us.

I know I can only plant seeds and the Holy Spirit does the rest, but your book and website have helped me tremendously. Your section on "Bible Truth for Baptists" is awesome! I have printed out a lot of it and given the materials to him to read and it has at least made him stop and think about his beliefs!

So, thanks again for the work you do. I am so thankful for having people like you to help me. The other person who has helped me a lot is John Martignoni. Are you familiar with him? If not, he has some incredible talks you can download at www.biblechristiansociety.com.

Keep up the good work.

Paul Mathers

My name is Carlus and I have been a Protestant for 30 years. Next year, God willing, I am planning to join the Catholic Church.

Thank you so much for your ministry through the scripturecatholic.com website. Being a Bible Thumper, I have enjoyed using your site as a reference as I tear through the scriptures to find Truth. Your site has helped me in my own conversion as well as in sharing my conversion and faith with friends.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Carlus Henry

Hi John,

I just wanted to say thank you for your website, which I have now bookmarked. I have come across some very anti-Catholic websites in the past, and my stomach was churning from the claims made about the Catholic Church, and I have been unable to rebut the arguments made – I am not the most well-educated Catholic.

Your Catholic Scriptures website is very concise, and easy to understand. What more can I say but Thank you? It’s going to take me a lot of time to read through the wealth of information you’ve provided. In the process, I hope to become a better Catholic.

God bless you.

Monica Stanfield

Hey John, my name is Steven. I know you probablly get this a lot but I thought I had to tell you how beneficial your site has been to my conversion to Catholicism. You truly are one of the best Catholic apologists, in my opinion. I really enjoy your intellectual responses given through the peace of Christ. Many preach and present truth as a sledgehammer, and I thank God for people like you, who preach as Paul did (1 cor. 9:19-22), with the gospel at their hearts.

Thank you John for your ministry, and I ask that God may continue to stand at your side, and may the grace and peace of Jesus through His Spirit be with you always.

Steven

There are no words that could express how awesome your website is. I am a 71 yr old Lady raised in a convent boarding school and was in church 5 times a day, every day. I left the church after 2 years of the Novus Ordo or nervous ordeal as God was missing in action. I was writing to someone and was in a hurry so I abbreviated N.O. Mass and just as I had always thought no mass. So back to my beautiful Tridentine Mass. I ran the book store & library for 5 years, and had so much catecism classes I know you know 500 times what I do. I am calling my CATHOLIC friends to tell them about you. I have learned so much from you website. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your work.

Dear John,

I am a cradle Catholic (35 years old) and can I tell you how much I appreciate what I’ve read on your site. I’ve used a lot of your arguments to help me learn/understand what we believe and I must say how helpful you’ve been. I never realized how much animosity there was towards the Church and now when I feel we are being attacked I now feel confident defending our beliefs. One thing that hurts me deeply is that many of our biggest critics have a deep love for our Savior, Jesus Christ. I think healthy debate is a good thing but it does bother me when the debate becomes an attack, and that goes for both sides Catholic or Protestant. I hate to see that because I know on both sides, the love for Jesus’ is the driver. I wish you the best of luck, and most important I will pray that God continues to guide you as you educate Catholics and Protestants alike.

God Bless,

Jason Hoback

Hi, John:

I recently came across your website and, I have to say, it's fantastic. Boy, you're saving me a lot of trouble and, I should add, your topical categorization of issues is perfect for Catholics such as myself who have specific questions relating to scripture.

Just thought I'd extend my deep gratitude for your work online; it's extremely helpful (esp. the candid conversations you've posted between you and others).

Best,

Tim

Mr. Salza,

I wanted to send this note to say thank you and ask a question. I am a protestant who has decided to become Catholic and am enetring an RCIA program at my local parish in August. Your website has been influential in this decision as the Lord has used it to overcome many of my objections. Thank you for letting God use you in such an incredible way. My wife and I have ordered your book on the biblical basis of Catholicism, and are excited to read it.

Thanks again for everything,

Brandon Wilson

John,

What a great website. I teach a women's Bible Study at my Catholic Church and we are studying "Acts". Your excellent compilation of verses on the topic of Salvation was extremely helpful in planning my lesson around Acts 4:12;" And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved". In particular, I appreciated the way you pointed out how these verses refute the Protestant belief of once saved, always saved. Many of the women who are in my study have been in Protestant studies for years and are very confused about this. Thank you!

Mary Collar

Hey Dude!

My name is Jon Sorensen. I'm a recent revert to the Catholic faith and I just wanted to let you know that your site has been an invaluable source in my conversion. In the last year since my confirmation, I have been involved in the RCIA program at my parish. We have some new converts to the faith, and also some cradle Catholics who are trying to have a better understanding of the Church and it's teachings. I direct people to your site all the time.

Thanks, man! Seriously!

God bless you!

-Jon Sorensen

Dear John,

What a great web site! God bless you for all you have done. Persevere to the end.

Paul Martinez

Dear Mr. Salza

Thank you for your incredible site, for your defense of our Church and for all the work you are doing on our behalf. I am grateful to you and I hope you will continue your wonderful work.

In Christ,

Michelle Keener

Dear Mr. Salza

I am truly impressed and pleased with your website and will be referring the youth and adults at our parish to it.

God bless you and those who work with you on spreading the word.

Rick Matos

John,

Thank you for a wonderful web site!  As an apologetic tool it is second to none.  I just happen to come across it tonight as I am in a 220+ page discussion with a Baptist friend of mine on the subject of justification.   You information will be very handy!

Thank you again for your work,

God Bless,

Tim

John, I just discovered your website.

It looks really great.

Thanks,

Paul Mann, publisher of http://drbo.org

My Brother John;

I have written you and thanked you in the past. I just had to write you and thank you again. I cannot tell you enough, how INVALUABLE your site is to me, an uneducated man that loves our Lord Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. This is what you have done; The Bible is a river of knowledge and we are prospectors sifting for gold nuggets, these nuggets are the JEWELS of truth, The JEWELS of the Catholic Church. You have made it so easy for me, in the past to Evangelize to Protestants, and now to Catholics. I have found that many Catholics have trouble accepting ALL the teachings of our Church, so they ARMOR themselves with what they "think" is their "conscience". Your site has allowed me to sometimes, lovingly, put a CHINK in that ARMOR [my own armor had so many cracks and dents that I finaly had to take it off]. I just finished a session on the Sacrament of Reconciliation. My motto is "When you examine your conscience DIG DEEP, then get a bigger shovel and DIG DEEPER". Your site and the CCC has provided us with the bigger shovel. <{{{><

Thanks Again

Your Brother in Christ

John, I'm an amateur Catholic apologist with a rudimentary understands of Catholic theology.  I took the approach that the best way to learn is to teach.  I've been doing just that at my place of work.  My job is becoming quite a task with Ex-Catholics being my hardest obstacle.  I discovered your web site tonight and had to write a note of thanks.  In one word, WOW!

Thank you and God Bless.

Mike

John, I absolutely love this site.  It has helped me immensely.  Thanks and God Bless you.

John Paul from Toronto, Canada.

P.S. Your book, should receive it in 5 days, can't wait.....I bought this book because I love your website and use your website all the time when talking to Protestants.

Dear Mr. Salza:

I just discovered your website.  It is the best I've ever seen.  Thanks so much.

Gina Kohlschmidt

Greetings Mr. Salza,

Congratulations on a superb web site. It is truly magnificent.  I understand that you are soon to publish a book.  I hope that you will seek the "Nihil Obstat" for it, in order to give it definitive authority.

I look forward for your book to be widely available.

I sending you my sincerest best wishes to you

John, your site has been very helpful.   God Bless your Ministry!!

John, nice site.  I sent some of your stuff to a Protestant org that is in dialogue with me.  Great backup.  God bless your ministry.

Tom Fayette

Dear John,

I use your website daily...I like the new organization and new things you added since yesterday!

Thank you for your ministry.

God bless,

Dear John:

Perused your website; looks great. Keep up the great work.

John:

I have been using your site for a while to dispute Protestant claims that Catholicism is not a Bible based Religion. I just want to say THANK YOU! If ever there was truly a web site inspired by the HOLY SPIRIT, this is it.

Your Brother in Christ

Hi John,

Great job on the website. I have been going through your Scripture references and I am very impressed.  I hope to start a Catholic apologetics class in the near future and I wanted to get permission to use some of your information.  I was wondering if this okay?

God Bless and keep up the good work,

Erik

Mr. Salza,

After careful research of your website, I have come to the conclusion that the Catholic Church is the only church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ

Michael L. Souder

I just wanted to commend you for your excellent resource site!  If you don't mind, I placed links to your site from my site.

I get into many discussions with ex-Catholics (the most rabidly anti-Catholic's, it seems), new converts, those seeking, evangelical Protestants, and cradle Catholics.   And I do use your site to quote scriptural backing for Catholic teachings to those who state that Catholics are not Christian, etc, etc.  I'm certain that you've heard it all.

Great site, and may our Lord bless you for this service!

Be blessed,

Shenandoah

John,

I received a mail suggesting setting up a link between our websites. After browsing through www.scripturecatholic.com, I would indeed like to request permission to recommend your page in our automatic response for www.salvationhistory.com. Your site is just the thing many of our visitors have been asking for. My newest project is the St. Paul's Center for Biblical Theology. This website is connected with the center. Please visit the site to get more information. If this sounds agreeable, please write me back.

God bless you!

Scott Hahn

Seriously...your site rules.

Thank you so much for allowing the Lord to work in your life and give this gift to the rest of us.

I converted to the Catholic faith in February, after being a Fundamentalist Protestant all my life.

Since I've been considering ministry for years now, I decided to start discerning my call to the Diaconate. Please pray for me...I see the pulling for me to do ministry, and the timing of my calling from God to come home, as a sure sign that God wants me to be an ordained minister...

God bless you bro...

Regards,

Woody Hughes

Dear Mr. Salza,

Peace in Christ! My name is Joe Hercik and I am a new missionary with an organization called FOCUS: the Fellowship Of Catholic University Students. I just wanted to let you know that I recently happened upon your website and, after reading most of its content, I must say that I am very grateful for the work you've done. I will definitely be referring to your site a great deal in the coming months seeing as how the campus I will be ministering at is Troy University in the Deep South of Alamaba. I, along with fellow missonaries, just completed a 5-week period of intensive summer training up in Madison, Wisconsin. We had a crash course in apologetics during our time there, however, I don't feel prepared enough to encounter the evangelical Southern Baptists where I'm going. That is why I see your site is such a blessing.

So in a matter of words, I just wanted to thank you for your (well-organized) labor of love. It's unfortunate that not enough Catholics these days are "ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks [them] for a reason for [their] hope." Take care and God bless.

- Joe Hercik

Mr. Salza

We would first like to extend our thanks for creating such a wonderful resource for Catholics around the world.  Because of the amount of effort that goes into the content development of your great web site, we would like to present to you a web site award: the Catholic Web Award for Excellence in Catholic Web Design, Content, and Fidelity.  It is our pleasure to acknowledge your efforts in this way to bring Catholic information to the internet.  Congratulations! We thank you for the opportunity to present this award to you and ScriptureCatholic.com.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  Sincerely, Matt Beckman Webmaster@CatholicFreeShipping.com

Hello John,

I would just like to say I am Catholic as well and found your site to be very informative on the Catholic faith and how it is found in scripture. The Holy Spirit has truly guided you to the true way of salvation and knowledge. Thanks

Yours In Christ,

Malcolm

Christ is in our midst!

Just want to say thank you for your wonderful website. I am a newly chrismated Orthodox Christian and this website will help me to explain my faith to Protestant friends and family. Thanks again!

Abayea

Dear John,

I thought I discovered your site  www.http:scrupturecatholic.com  yesterday in the Catholic Review, an archdiocesan paper, in Baltimore, MD, the Premier See. It's marvelous. Thank you

However, the truth is, I've actually been using your site on the doctors' site (see below) probably since 2000 and I honestly don't remember emailing you about it. Usually I notify anyone but I've been loading it up with so much documentation that some times I forget.

Anyhow, if I haven't told you before, thanks sincerely.

Peace and love,

Tommy

John -

I stumbled across your website (I really don't remember from where) but I have to tell you that it is one of the most comprehensive ones I've ever seen.  As a cradle Catholic who has a lot of contact with evangelical Protestants (living in the Deep South), this is a wonderful resource where all the Scriptures that support the Catholic Church's teachings are so neatly laid out.  I've been studying apologetics on and off over the years and of course are familiar with some of your verses to support various doctrines, but I have to complement you specifically on your "one-two punch" on explaining the Real Presence which appears on your Top Ten page.

My son, a student of apologetics, would call that a "slam dunk."  I've emailed the link to him but he won't likely see if for several days as he is currently on spring break. But I know he will appreciate it!

I've used John Chapter 6 quite a bit myself, but I've never thought to add the verse from I Corinthians to drive the point home so eloquently.  Excellent, excellent point - and virtually impossible to overcome, if one is truly a "Bible-believing" Christian.

I've not had a chance to really go through it all, but I am making my way through it bit by bit.

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much I have enjoyed it.

God bless you for putting it together,

Cathy Bryant

Your website. Thanks very much. That's all. No words can explain what I feel. God bless you and family.

Reido.

What a wonderful web site!!  I now have a great to quickly gather stuff to use to on my retired-ex-Presbyterian-preacher-neighbor who can be a real pain sometimes.  He's always giving me copies of his old sermons to read, which I don't want.  I'll slug him with your top ten and ask him for written responses to refute, or not.

In all seriousness, every Catholic with a computer ought to be studying your web site.

God Bless You,

Walter Bruning

John it was an act of God that I found your website. I just finished downloading all your work on scripture. I think the holy spirit has a hold of me and I cant get enough of information about my faith. I"ll keep you in my prayers.

Matt Leonard

John,

I wanted to thank you for the wonderful website, scripturecatholic.com.  I am a "lapsed" Catholic who has been trying to find a church to return to.  At first I examine the Protestant beliefs and found many of them appealing. I even looked at their scriptural support.  But then I was speaking to my mother-in-law (Catholic) about it and she said before I make a decision it would be only fair to see the other side.  So I found your website and starting reading scripture and their relation to the Catholic teachings.  It has been a most positive experience!  I now see the succession of the apostles, that Jesus IS the body and blood at the Lord's Supper at mass, along with many other subjects.

Thank you for your time

Laurie

John,

Thank you for this web site!  What a great way to get around in the bible.  I live in the bible belt, it's going to help tremendously!

Peace, Joy, Love, Kindness, Obedience,

John

Even though our church is being criticized by anti-catholic religions, you gave me inspiration to fight against this spiritual struggle I'm having.

This is a proof that nothing will overcome His church, even death.

Thank you for enlightening me.

Dear John,

You, my friend, are more helpful than you can ever imagine. I no longer have to sit around scratching my head because I am so confused. I no longer have to seek the counsel of those who haven't the slightest clue what they are talking about. For wisdom, I go to the Fathers, for refutations of heresies and Church History, I go to you, Charles the Hammer, and Joe Gallegos -- Tertullian, Origen, and Lactantius!

I don't know about you, but there is one thing in particular that definitely convinced me that the Church was true: the holiness of the saints. Protestants testify with their tongues, the saints testify with their blood, the wonders, their holiness, their humility. "By their fruits, ye will know them." I genuinely became a Christian, and left my hatred for Catholics, after I read the life of St. Cuthbert, the Bishop of Lindisfarne. The the biography of the Virgin written by St. Mary of Agreda left me in tears. I highly recommend both.

In that biography of the Virgin, she quotes Deuteronomy, saying the reason most people are damned is because of sins imbibed in youth and nourished in childhood, "for that saying of Deuteronomy is very true, 'As the days of thy youth, so also shall thy old age be.'" Thank you for helping me to learn the correct faith in my youth. I have decided to enter the religious life.

Sincerely,

Gene

Dear Mr. Salza,

Your website, Scripture Catholic, is amazing!  I happened upon it accidentally a couple days ago when I was looking for information about justification to counter my Baptist friend's arguments.  Since then I have read through many other sections and have been very impressed.  Your research and easy-to-read explanations are very welcome.  Thank you for your efforts.

Sincerely,

Dean Crowhurst

Dear John,

My name is Gerard, and I'm an amateur apologist-in-training here in the Philippines. First of all, I want to thank you for you site at scripturecatholic.com, it's easily the best Scriptural treasurehouse for the defense of the faith.

Again, thanks, and God bless you.

Gerard

John, This has to be one of the most extensive websites for using scripture in defense of the faith. There are many good ones out there but yours is by far the best. Thank you for your efforts. I will pass this site on to others.

God bless,

James Peil

John, truly your website is a "sharp two edge sword out of the mouth of Christ" from the Apocalypse of St. John. Human beings do not have the appropriate words to describe how critical this information is. Again, I almost fell out of my chair. This website should be printed and given to every person contemplating becoming catholic and required reading before entering RCIA. I should know, I am a convert and many people have said that RCIA is like purgatory because of the information is not well presented. They should give you a plenary indulgence just for attending the drudgery!

Cradle Catholics take the word of God like the Faith of a Child (how we are supposed to). Most converts have ingrained distortions that need to be knocked off balance the moment they have a question.... sort of a "go to guns" right out of the shoot (always with humility, faith, hope and charity as the truth in scripture is self evident just never presented).

Peace be with you.

God bless you!

I would like to take the time to tell you I think this site is great and to say THANK YOU.

Bill

Thank you for such a great site.

God Bless You.

Your Scripture Catholic web site has been a Godsend. I've been in conversation with a Church of Christ minister and was finding it difficult to locate all the verses to support the Catholic teachings. Your web site has allowed me to do so in  great ways than I had hoped.

Thanks again!

Andrew Palanos

Hi John,

I was just wanted to say that I find your website very informative and well put together. I was wondering what your educational background is and how long it took you to convert from being a Freemason.   Keep up the good work!

God Bless,

Erik

I have to praise your web site.  As a RCIA catechist your web site will be a great teaching tool for those who are wanting to learn more about our faith.  May our Lord bless you for devotion to His church!

Sincerely,

Cindee

You have done a great job with this web site! Absolutely excellent! I give you A+. This is what the Church needs. If you don't mind I cut and pasted a couple of paragraphs and included links to your web pages in an email to a non-Catholic searching Christian.

Your Fellow Catholic,

Greg

Dear John:

What a beautiful, well-written, detailed, site you have!  PRAISE GOD!!!

Hi this is Philip,

It is a great pleasure for me to give thanks for the splendid work you did on your sight.  It is a "Gold Mine" for my catholic faith.  Lord will reward you on the day of Judgement.  I give this sight address to so many of my friends and  non believers.  You can make this sight even more splendid with collaborating  from other sights documents.  I am sending here with some address to boost the "REAL TRUTH" no one ever posses.

To get salvation to the fullness you must be a Born again catholic faith with action.

God will bless You

Philip

John Salza,

Hi there!  This is a great web site!  Thank you for your sharing and witnessing.

It's short and to the point.  I like that.  Plus it gives an abundance of biblical verses!!!  I'm glad that during your journey you decided to share what you learned with the rest of the world through the internet.

Take care and God bless you and your family,

Carl Arpon

Thank you for your marvelous work on this website.  I frequent the "worthy boards" in a catholic vs. protestant forum to defend my newfound faith in the RCC (5 years since I became catholic as an adult).  Your website has helped me so much in answering tough questions that protestants ask regarding "in scripture" type questions.  God bless your ministry.

In Christ,

Lynne Murphy

God bless you and your family and keep up the great work for the Kingdom!

The Kings Kid,

Thank you for all the work you have put into your site....... it is totally awesome!!!

Howdy,

Just wanted to say I enjoyed your site and I have mentioned it to our candidates in our RCIA program.  Keep up the great work!

Now I wish I could get the energy to get my site Whydocatholics.com up and

running!

Dear John Salza,

I am George from Singapore.  Great site and great work!

All The Best,

Have you ever considered putting the scripturecatholic website into book form? If so I'd love to buy copies of it. God bless you and all your work. May it bring a great many home to the Catholic faith. Hoping to hear from you soon.

Yours in Christ

As a Protestant minister, I must express my appreciation for this web site.  I am also totally blind, but have access to this information with the help of special assistive technology.  I have been led truly to learn what the Catholic Church truly teaches and believes, and I find these references and explanations most helpful and illuminating.  Where this may lead, of course, I cannot tell;  but I am grateful for these efforts.

—Rev. Daniel M. Berry III.

i just wanted to write to personally thank you for your web site. i was brought up in a protestant household yet never baptised. your website has been extremely helpful to me. (as far as to where i will be baptised). thanks a again for the wonderful insight.

Allen Trepp

dear sir,

just a little note to thank you for your wonderful internet ministry.---its sad that in our parishes, here and over there, there are catholics crying out for good solid catholic bible teaching, something that is sadly lacking.-then we wonder why so many catholics are swept up by the various cults.--we only have to look around to see the harvest we have reaped from ;trendy modernists theory; where anything goes and forget the bible.--i am far from being a fanatic, but it breaks my heart to see what these people and there ideas have done to our church.---the other side of the coin is, maybe this chastisement was sent to wake us up, get us back on track.---sorry for going on.---may Our Lord bless you, yours and your ministry,

in Jesus precious name.

danny.

Thank you so much for this web sight.  I am letting everyone I know that you are out here.  This sight is perfect for people like me, I just returned to the Church after a 20 year absence.  You provide clear and concise information that I can turn to when someone challenges me about my faith.

Again, thank you.

BobbieAnn

Thank you for all your scriptural insight in this website.  It has helped me to show my Protestant friends their misguided beliefs in the Catholic Church.  Your website has been used in my defense of many issues that my "fundamentalist" friends claim.  It leaves them speechless most of the time.

God bless you,

Lynne

thanks for your site ,good job.

Ben Barnes

Hello,

I really enjoy your site.  Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication.  Please let me know if it is alright with you to print the the contraception section to give out.  My husband and I give talks to Engaged Encounter groups about NFP.  One of the complaints from "Bible Christians" marrying Catholics is that contraception is not in the Bible.  I have told them it is, but you say it better.  I would love to have your info in hand to give them.  I would make sure it has the link to your site and I would say that there are more issues thoroughly discussed.  I especially like that you have the section on Early Church Fathers' teachings right below.  Wow!

Again, thanks for your hard work.

Sincerely,

Debbie Johnson

Dear Mr. Salza:

I had the opportunity to hear you speak eloquently and with great conviction on today's "Drew Mariani Show" relative to your book, "Biblical Basis of the Catholic Faith".  I was raised Protestant.  In fact, my father was also a 32nd degree freemason.  Of late, I have come to understand that the Protestant Reformation was, as Hilaire Belloc has dubbed it, "the shipwreck of Western Civilization".  I have started to attend an Orthodox Church.  But I seem to be coming around to Catholicism.  Perhaps it takes some of us, more thoroughly indoctrinated, to take a circuitous path to Truth.  In any case, I am very interested in the work you mentioned toward the end of the radio program.  I have a great deal about the role of freemasonry in history including Dillon's "Grand Orient Freemasonry Unmasked", Webster's "World Revolution", Fahey's "Mystical Body of Christ in the Modern World", Lina's "Under the Sign of the Scorpion", Hoffman's excellent "Secret Societies and Psychological Warfare" and, of course, many others.  Although I was intrigued by what you had to say in the brief minutes you had at the end of the show today, I did not catch the entire title or availability of your book on freemasonry.  So, if you could provide that, I would be grateful.  You can reply to me, as your schedule permits.  And, yes, if you happen to be familiar with mid-twentieth century Protestant theologians, my dad's second cousin was that Tozer, Aiden Wilson.

Take care and God bless.

Michael Merritt Tozer

Thank You John, for your wonderful web site with so much information for us.  We have a daughter married to a non-denominational thinking, born-again, future rapturite.  Our daughter has made all her Sacraments except Matrimony.  Their three little children especially their oldest (9yrs.) thinks that the rapture is coming soon and said to me, "Grandma, I will never drive a car because the rapture will be coming soon."  She suffers from Turrets syndrome with stress being the cause of it escalating.  This breaks our hearts to see them away from the true Church.  Thank you for the scriptural web site.  Please pray for them to come back to our Holy Catholic Church.

Carol and Nick Beadel

John,

Hi, my name is Chuck Peterson and I was on your site the other day. There is so much information that I didn't get a chance to go through it all. I would love to read some e-mails from you on your thoughts so I can learn more about Catholicism. I would like a more in-depth knowledge from a person who is Catholic. I have some friends who are Catholic but they are not grounded as you are. I know you're probably very busy and don't even know if you'd be interested in sharing over e-mails, but it would be cool if you could.

Thank you for your web site. It is an incredible resource! I'm a convert from the Evangelical church.

Ric Grosh

Hello,

I have read as much as time has allowed me, several sections of your website defending the Universal Church.  Wow, I have to hand it to you.  This will definitely be my web site of preference when it comes for Catholic apologetics.  It's so complete, so vast, so simple and clear, so well founded.  Thanks in the name of the Church of which I am just a grain of sand.  I have put together in a Word document, most of your explanations.  I wish I could somehow, use it in local parishes to somehow start teaching adults what being members of the Church is all about: more than going to mass on Sunday.  Whereas we eat the body and drink the blood of the Lord weekly (sometime daily), the Protestants (in their heretical stand) show to be more ardent christians to gain souls for the Lord.

God bless you -

truly yours,

Milton J. Lopez

Thank you so much for the wonderful web site!

What a treasure trove and so effective for dealing with those of the "sola scriptura" persuasion.

Elizabeth

Mr. Salza,

I enjoy your enlightening website. It is outstanding. I find it enjoyable and very helpful. I encourage you to continue to use your talent and scholarship to share this information with all people who search for an honest analysis concerning matters of faith. Thank you for your work.

Sincerely,

George Pellum

Mr. Salza,

I came across your website by Jesse Romero's website. I love it! I already e-mailed the link to your site to all of my Catholic friends and family members. Thank Christ for your site. No longer do I have to wait until I get home from work and take time looking through books and asking my aunt "where is this in the bible." Now I can just log on to your site while I have some free time at work and take a few notes. I rediscovered my Catholic faith three years ago on St. Patrick's Day, and I feel great. And I'm still young, I have, God willing, many years left to share my faith. Thank you for your website and knowledge. Don't give up.

Ernesto Guzman,

Amarillo, Texas

Mr. Salza,

I want to thank you for your website. It has really helped me in my faith. Also, it is a great resource for evangelizing my non-catholic friends.

Thank you,

Javier Rodriguez

I'm very thankful that I've found your site accidentally, just by browsing the name of the Blessed Mother. We need sites like this to enlighten us about the scriptures, and also about the most misundestood woman-The Blessed Virgin Mary. It doesn't matter if many will contradict your teachings or explanations, everything will be revealed to them after their earthly lives is done. God bless you and continue the good work.

Rosalie

Your Doing a Great job!

Hi John, my name is Ty Agosta. I am a Catholic Speaker (part-time), insurance agent as a profession. I started a Catholic radio show a few years ago that I was the host of and was heard in New York/ New Jersey. I'm happy to hear you do radio in addition to being an author.

But my main reason for writing you today is to thank you for your excellent book, 'The Biblical Basis for Catholicism'. I find it one of the best apologetic tools available. I know, because I have just about every apologetic book/tape there is. I have given out and continue to distribute several of your books as gifts to many non-Catholics I come across in my daily journeys. I find  it so helpful to our separated brethren in helping them see the light and "come back home." I'm looking forward to your next book!

Hopefully, one day I will be able to meet you and even have you give a talk in my area which is Northeastern Jersey, (close to Manhattan).

I have been putting off  writing to you to tell you how much I appreciate all you do for God's one, holy and apostolic church. God bless you and your family.

Ty Agosta

Dear John,

Your site is fabulous!  It is like discovering a library for the first time and getting lost in the stacks, picking book after book.  Honestly, if it isn't on your website, I probably don't need it.

I have bookmarked it; I cannot wait to come back to read.  I love your measured, sensible apologetics and your firm understanding and presentation of God's Church.

Thank you, thank you, thank you,

Liz

John,

I have so enjoyed your website, scripturecatholic.com, that I felt compelled to write and thank you for what you have done!  Your work has blessed me in so many ways that I would not even know where to start.  Between you and Scott Hahn, I have been able to construct a sound, Biblical defense of my Catholic Faith... something that I feel most Catholics are lacking today.  Keep up the great work and God bless.

Patrick Studer

Your website is a great resource.

John,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for putting together such a fantastic website. It has been, and continues to be, a great help to me in defending the Catholic faith.

Hello John,

I would like to let you know that I'm a great fan of your site. I Recommend it all the time. It is AMAZING. God bless your heart for enlightening His people.

Thank you,

Peace.

Thank you for your web site. I just found it today.

I've been searching and praying for understanding on suffering. Thank you again for all the information especially Colossians 1:24.

I've been catholic for 40 years. A born again Christian taught me to read the bible and I almost left the church. But too much was missing in there teaching. I often wonder how I could be a catholic for so long and know so little about our church. I thank God for your wisdom.

God bless you

Roxann

John -- you should go take a look at the latest on Kerstin's blog. Read the third most recent entry where she shares her entire conversion story. Your site, ScriptureCatholic.com was THE most instrumental piece to her decision to cross the Tiber!

Mr. Salza,

I happened upon your website today, when looking for a “quick guide” to messianic prophecy for my kids. I want to take an opportunity to THANK YOU for putting together this fantastic website. I hope it’s okay with you, but I printed out your Messianic Prophecy list, one for each of their notebooks, as well as your “Top Ten” list! We’ve been doing a combination of Friendly Defender cards and Topic Tabs, from Catholic Answers, as an apologetics course, but there are so many! This is perfect, to give us all a quick reference. So thank you so much!

Thanks again for all you do!

Many blessings to you and your family!

Dear John

Praise God for you, the Priests I talk to in New Zealand are aware of your site and you are helping to arm them with a fine selection of weapons and in turn they are teaching us lay people the truth about the Word and the Bride.

You would have probably had no idea how many people you are reaching or effecting by the truth you preach using the word of God. Satan must have really tried to stop you in your tracks he knows the ones that the Lord will use to expose his lies.

Anyway I love your site, I found it from General Offsite Apologetics Sites from FISH EATERS it was there first link in there lineup.

Dear Mr. Salza:

Thank you for creating this web-site; it is a wonderful gift to all Christians, especially Catholics.

I especially enjoyed your biography.  My wife is protestant (Church of God).   That has prompted me to look into many of the pillars of our faith, particularly those in starkest contrast with protestant theology.  Like you, the more I look into it, the more confirmed I become in my Catholic faith.  Frankly, I had to look into it; before we married, we agreed that our children would be baptized and raised Catholic (we have 2; both baptized).  I needed to be sure that I was guiding them properly, which entailed questioning my own faith, and exposing myself and my beliefs to the sharpest criticism and challenges to Catholic faith.  Your web site provides an excellent and very efficient resource for analysis of issues raised by these challenges.

Furthermore, In your bio, you mentioned that like most people in our generation (I was born in 1970--and like you, went to Catholic grade school and HS), our Catholic theological foundation is generally weak.  So again, thank you for providing such a tremendous resource for so many of us seeking to better understand our faith.

God bless you,

James A. Barrios

Hi!,

I just wanted to commend you on your great website ScriptureCatholic.com. I just came across the sight today and am really excited about it. I myself am a convert to the Catholic Faith, having most of my family and friends not being Catholic themselves. I'm so glad to finnally have a quick Scripture resource to find all those  biblical passages that support our faith. I have come across sights such as yours, but none that were this intense! Thanks again for the wonderful website and keep up the good work!

God Bless,

Alycia Hartley

John:

Again, I love your web site; in many respects, it is more effective than the Catechism in explaining Church doctrine.  The Vatican should consider adopting your site as some kind of a virtual Catechism supplement!  I particularly loved your analysis of concerting the "vain and repetitious prayers."

Yours in Christ,

James A. Barrios

John:  thank you for your time and resources for such a wonderful website –

God Bless you – Janie

Dear John -

I absolutely enjoy your site and so do many Catholics (and even Protestants). It's exactly what we need for good apologetics when it comes to understanding the biblical anchor of our Catholic Faith. You did a lot of work on it, and I want to thank you for it. You do a great job. Keep up the good work.

Greg Rolla

Hey John, my name is Rudi, I am 22 years old and for the past year I can call myself a Catholic. I am very proud to be a Roman Catholic, even through all the criticism that I have received.

Let me thank you for an amazing website!! It is truly a catholic treasure!!

The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you

Rudi

John:

You might remember me.  I am the author of The Collar, A Year of Striving and Faith at a Catholic Seminary that is set at Sacred Heart School of Theology.  I met you through Father Paul Grizzelle-Reid and read the manuscript of "Unmasked" some time ago but was unfortunately unable to help very much.  I am very happy that the book has found a good home and that it's potential is being realized.

Again, congratulations on your work and continuing work as a Catholic apologist.

I hope you and your family are well.

Jonathan

Dear Mr. Salza:

The work you have done is phenomenal!  The answers to so many of the questions I have been searching for I have been able to find in your scripture website. It is amazing that no one has summarized the traditional teaching of the Church on so many practical topics until you have!  I am a Director of Religious Education in  St. Anthony Church in Bristol, Ct. and a graduate theology student (Distance Learning) at Franciscan University in Stuebenville Ohio. I am seriously considering using some of your teaching material in CCD instruction May the Lord Jesus Christ continue to bless you and the work you are doing!

"If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciple and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free"

Dear John,

I greet you in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ

Thank you so much for the wonderful website you have set up. The contents of this website go along way in correcting the negative and often biased picture held by the critics of the Catholic Church and Her teaching and also challenges their invented views of the Scripture and Tradition. When I bumped into this website ,after about five minutes ,a cold  and strange breeze struck my face. I think the Spirit of the Lord was telling me that I had landed in ''a Gold mine'' for spiritual growth. I promise to share this website with other people. God Bless you.

John Salza, thank you thank you and thank you very much to you and your website scripturecatholic.com... it was amazing!! and astonishing!! thank you. you really answer the tough questions towards our catholic faith... wow, it really made me feel thankful and blessed that i am baptized catholic!!

i always thought that the catholic faith is realy the false one because there were so much attacks around and no catholic are able to defend... we catholics are not equipped unliked those who belong to other christian sects... and even our local priests, they do not give clear explainations against the attacks... i was so uncomfortable about my faith then... my doubts were huge and my questions were multiple... i always thought that the Church is not the truth... i saw the catholic church as not the truth because whenever there are attacks, it is not able to defend itself. and i always thought that catholic practices are not found in the bible...

until i accidentaly went to your website.... it was really overwhelming browsing through the textes and verses from the bible that you display in your website... i cant believe my eyes that our catholic faith such as the perpetual virginity of Mother Mary, the saints, the pope, celibracy, etc. are actually found in the bible!!honestly it was a great experience!! thank you!! your website easily proved my doubts false and easily answered the tough questions that is asked by attackers... you are unbelievable!! i havent felt so strongly catholic before... im glad i belong to the Church. the original church. His church. the Catholic church. the Roman Catholic Church!!!

now im proud being a catholic... imagine tens of thousands of protestant churches having one thing in common, attackers of the Church... thousands of pastors are constantly confusing catholics and attacking church teachings... prtotestant churches just mushroom everywhere everytime...but still His Church still stand strong because Jesus built it on a rock and not on sand... it didnt scatter into pieces unlike the protestant churches which divides itself time after time... protestant churches just come and go... but His church has been standing since the pentecost and until now and until His second coming... it has gone through many controversies and hardships for thousands of years, but still it remain as strong as petra...

thank you... i highly suggest that you should advertise this site more... because i didnt knew that such great site exist... and there are many confused catholics out there that are still unaware of this site... i am spreading your URL to catholic and christian chatrooms in the yahoo messenger so that this website will spread and may save confused people... once again thank you!!! God bless!! ill be praying for you...

Dear Mr. Salza,

I just want to inform you that two of the most visited Catholic Apologetics websites that Filipino Catholic Apologists often visit are Catholic Answers and your website. We just like to thank you for all the wonderful scripture passages you have readily prepared in support of the Catholic Faith. When I was distributing an apologetic magazine, I stapled a photocopied paper containing websites that Filipinos might want to visit and your website is definitely included! Thank you so much for your work.

John, about two weeks ago, I entered the room with several people talking about the Catholic Church. They were bashing it as usual. I chimmed in with a few questions, as I worked up a few packages. I took my laptop with me, with all my notes, along with scripturecatholic.  I basically used data from your website, like a powerpoint presentation. Church Authority, Eucharist, and Mother Mary. After three hours he was so happy, he could not contain himself.  He was thanking God and me right there in the coffee shop, over and over again. He left the coffee shop with a outline of John chapter 6, a copy of The Hidden Jesus, and your website. This is my three fold approach. Thank you, John, for your awesome apologetics.

Rob

Dear John,

A Mr. John Bxxx is from work, who is Baptist. John has been researching the Catholic faith with me for about two years.  When recently ran into a problem, with his sisters husband.  He was at family function and found out that he is a 32nd degree mason and has been bringing many of John's friend into freemasons.  I referred John to your book and website.  John has drastically changed over the last couple of months.  He has been reading your book and researching the masons like crazy, which has inturn lead him to a more active prayer life.  John is now making daily Holy Hours! I think he is about to convert.  Thanks to your book and your drive to do your website. Thanks for your help and God bless!

Craig

Thanks for all the work you did on the Catholic Apologetics site. It is a good reference for us to learn more about the faith (or even a refresher in many regards), especially when confronted by Protestants.

God Bless,

Edward Arent

I would like to thank you for your site.  My supervisor is a fallen away "Catholic turned Christian", and against all common rules of decorum, we frequently engage in 'religious discussion'.  Thanks to your site, I can now point him to specific verses to confirm my stance, because I do not know the Bible by heart.  It is my hope that I can bring him back to the fold, and if that happens, your site will be the reason for it.  Please continue!  We need you!

Thanks again

Laurel Parker

John,

Your book (The Biblical Basis for the Catholic Faith) has converted my wife(Baptist), stepfather(Baptist), and sister(New Age).  Thanks so much John and keep up the great work.  If it wasn't for sites/books like yours and others, we'd be truly lost.  May the Lord be with you.

Jesse

A convert to the Church in 2000 from a Baptist background, I do a lot of dialogue on ye ole internet with Protestants.  I wanted to Thank You! so much for this site which saves me hours of digging.  But it's all here and it has been so incredibly valuable.  It has certainly helped me to stand firm in my understanding of the Faith.  And since I feel it is so important to use scripture to reach out to Protestants, I can't Thank You! enough.

Peace be with you,

Carla

Hello Mr. Salza,

I recently came upon your website, which I believe to be a great blessing.  I am a convert and try to read everything I can on the Catholic faith.  Each time I visit your website, I am amazed at your understanding of the Church, Bible, and the history of Christianity.  I have never found a website as beneficial as yours.  God bless you and your work. I look forward to reading your books.

Thank you and please continue to educate us.

Dear John Salza,

I am writing to you from Colombo, Sri Lanka. I read the account of "A dialogue with a homosexual" in the Sexuality Q&A. I must thank you for posting it online. I am a passive homosexual and totally agree with what you say. I am 23 years of age and have struggled with homosexuality for almost ten years. I am a devout catholic and would some day love to be a Roman catholic priest. Sadly, because of my inclinations it will probably never happen. I love my Lord so much and attend church seven days a week. I have been rejected by my peers for supporting heterosexual marriage and have been called an arrogant Christian! My life revolves around the church and I ardently desire to save homosexuals who have gone astray and embraced the 'gay lifestyle'. We are called to chastity and to bear witness to Christ.

Keep up the good work. Write back when time permits.

Best wishes always,

AF

Mr. Salza,

I love your website. ScriptureCatholic.com has increased my faith and been extremely useful in debates, and I would like to express my gratitude to you for putting it up.

Thank you,

One of the greatest websites I have ever seen.

Dear John,

I would like to thank you for setting up your site.  It has given me a means to comprehend the Catholic views that I was taught to view as incorrect.  I grew up in an Evangelical Church, one that was very much opposed to Catholicism.

Sincerely,

Michael Fitch

Dear John,

Saw you recently on the Abundant Life show on EWTN. You where great, I just want you to know that your books and work are deeply appreciated.

Dear Mr. Salza,

Caught the tail end of your appearance on The Abundant Life shown last night, on the subject, Why the Pope?  Excellent program, one of the best, easiest to understand I have seen, I pray it and your book will be a great grace to bring people to Christ and His Church.  I plan to purchase a few copies. I'll keep you and your apostolate in my prayers, sir.  God bless.

John:  Great Job with your website!

You are a blessing to our Church.

Hello John,

Thank you for a truly wonderful web site!  I have printed off many of the "article" titles and placed them into a three-ring binder.  My desire is to learn more about my Christian faith, my former Church and ask that my wife also be open-minded as she reads the materials.

I thank God for Relevant Radio and web sites like yours.

May our Lord in Heaven continue to Bless and protect you so you can share His word with all those who will listen and read.... and those who will try to ignore you.

Thanks John.

Best regards,

Dear Mr. Salza,

I'd just like to thank you for your website, which I was directed to by a friend last year.  I live in London, England, and am constantly stopped by anti-Catholic Protestant street-preachers who lurk outside the major Catholic Churches such as the Cathedral.  Your website has provided me with some good answers to their criticisms of the Church which are, of course, always based on what they think the Bible says, and even when they don't listen to me, it reassures me that the faith I am persevering in is the faith that the Apostles have handed down to us.  Thank you and God Bless you, keep fighting the good fight!
